Mobile WiMAX voice services

[Juniper Research] JR predicts that Mobile WiMAX services will "skyrocket" to 21.3 million subscribers worlwide by 2012. WiMAX will be primarily data driven (voice services reaching less than 10%) ... North America will be one of the largest markets for Mobile WiMAX voice services (32% of the total market).

Why use WiMAX for voice only? (no man, we are not speaking about VOIP). In North America, mobiles are working as bad as ... walky-talkies (networks are using CDMA rather than the GSM technology used in Europe. Wasn't smart). This explains that. Although most calls are free when using a same network (good point), mobile users (even in New York) are still learning how to send SMS. Wow, wake up America! Mobile phones can do much more than just talk.
