[The Wall Street Journal] Nokia and Intel jointly develop WiMAX technology for mobile devices. If the two companies can get WiMAX into a wide range of portable devices, it would allow more companies to enter the wireless-communications market in competition with the major cellphone-service providers.
Consumers are not silly milk cows. Prices should drop drastically, or Telcos will die. Wireless is a tough battleground. Google & Fon free Wi-Fi initiative, VoIP, etc are welcome. It's only a start guys.
